FELIX Oktoberfest - get in the mood of Bavarian Oktoberfest in the German capital

For the first time the Club and Restaurant FELIX will host Oktoberfest in the heart of the capital from 3rd to 25th September 2010.
Berlin’s Humboldthafen, near the main train station, will be transformed into an authentic “Biergarten” and a happening party location with first class entertainment. Two of the most famous Oktoberfest bands are booked: The “Münchner Zwietracht”, who have performed more than a dozen times in the legendary Oktoberfest-tent “Hippodrom” in Munich, and the “089er”, who entertain their audience with a powerful sound and a touch of Munich charm and interpret party classics from the past 50 years, songs of Neue Deutsche Welle, pop and rock music.
Similarly to its parent event in Munich, the “Berliner Oktoberfest” is designed for one beer or two after a sunny late summer day at a cottage which can accommodate up to 550 guests.
For any visitor coming from work at IFA or a long day in Berlin, Chef
Sepp Wagner will wow guests with original Bavarian specialties. The menu includes: crispy pork roast with extra crust, potato dumplings and Sauerkraut, Bavarian Brotzeit-Brettl with Bierradi, radishes, Bavarian cheese, gammon and chive bread as well as Oktoberfest duck with red cabbage, crispy potato pancakes and strong duck gravy. Of course this includes two mugs of the famous Bavarian beer. This is how any guest will get in the mood of Bavarian lifestyle and how to relax with a cold beer and a solid meal.

Speaker’s Corner – Angleterre Hotel

Came to IFA to splurge on orders? Then save on dinner yet leave feeling spoiled at Speaker’s Corner.
This modern restaurant is located in the new section of the hotel, near the Berlin press district and the Axel Springer publishing company. Speaker’s Corner offers an elegant yet budget-friendly menu for everyone. The restaurant‘s concept is based on a kitchen with two emphasis: sophisticated international menus with typical Berlin and regional dishes. Their breakfast buffet is filling and has fresh fruit, cold cut meats, bread, coffee and tea.
More interesting is their “Lunch for less” special offer where you can chose from a daily menu 5 euros and up, and which includes vegetarian or fish dishes. There is also a Happy Hour from 18:00-20:00 every night. The restaurant is open from 6:30 - 22:30 everyday.
